Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality (AR/VR) technology have revolutionized the new era and now employees are getting trained and educated in various industries over this technology. The technology has allowed companies to provide an immersive and interactive experience for their employees, making training more engaging and effective.
Recently, Itscredible held a virtual XR (AR, VR, MR) training session for its employees, which was a huge success. The session aimed to introduce the employees to the world of AR/VR and how it can be used to enhance their learning and development experience. We at Itscredible provide a constant learning environment to our team and believe that the use of the latest technology and trends is the key to the future.
The training session was conducted using a real-time development platform called Unity which is used for 3D, 2D, AR and VR. Thus, allowing the employees to experience the technology first-hand. They were able to immerse themselves in an animated environment and interact with various objects and simulations. This all was conducted through an online meeting through the Discord application. Here are some key insights into the training session:
- The session started with the basic introduction of unity, answering the questions like, What is unity? What is unity used for? and so on.
- Followed by an overview of the platform, different views, axis and dimensions.
- The instructor then taught how to make 3D models in unity starting with some basic shapes like cubes, and spheres and then getting to a bit complex structures like making a table, chair, etc.
- The session then moved to Augmented Reality using Vuforia Engine
- And finally, the team developed an AR-based certificate.
All these scenarios were practised and applied by the employees in real time to test their skills in a safe and controlled environment which helped them in building a deeper understanding of the subject matter. In the end, the main focus was how to make AR-based certificates which our company, Itscredible deals in i.e. digital credentials.
The training session also provided an opportunity for employees to network and collaborate with their peers, creating a supportive learning environment. This fostered a sense of community and helped employees feel more comfortable with the new emerging technology, encouraging them to actively participate and engage in the training session.
Overall, the virtual training session was a huge success and received positive feedback from employees. We are excited to continue exploring the possibilities of AR/VR technology in our training and development programs and are confident that it will play a significant role in shaping the future of employee training and education.
